The exclusive Record Store Day Edition pressed on WHITE 180g vinyl comes in brand new artwork in a gatefold sleeve with new sleeve notes contributed by Ken Hunt.

Originally recorded in 1973 the album, but didn’t see the light of day till many years later in 1997. Anne had been pregnant and the recordings were made a few weeks before the birth of her second child and consequently the released was held back due to Anne unhappiness with her singing at the time.

Anne recalls ” I found the singing unsatisfactory. Indeed it was hard work at the time being so pregnant – hard to find sufficient breadth, and hard to play the bouzouki, with its’ convex bellied back pressing into my convex bellied front, my arms seemed barely long enough to reach over to the strings and fingerboard”.

The album was originally released by Fledg’ling Records and is the only instance of Anne recording together with a band. The band was a short lived outfit Ragged Robin put together by folk musician and singer songwriter Steve Ashley with Richard Byers, Brain Diprose and John Thompson.

Considered by many as ‘a one of folks lost gems’ Anne has influenced many of todays contemporary folk musicians, including Eliza Carthy and June Tabor.
